Rattrap: The Whole World is a big rattrap

Image
Grade XII Subject English Chapter :The Rattrap 1.From where did the peddler get the world being a rattrap? Ans: The peddler had been thinking of his rattraps when suddenly he was struck by the idea that the whole world was nothing but a big rattrap. It existed only to set baits for people. It offered riches and joys, shelter and food, heat and clothing in the same manner as the rattrap offered cheese and pork. As soon as someone let himself be tempted to touch the bait, it closed in on him, and then everything came to an end. Q2. Why was he amused by this idea? Ans: His own life was sad and monotonous. He walked laboriously from place to place. The world had never been kind to him. So, during his gloomy ploddings, this idea became his favourite pastime. He was amused how people let themselves be caught in the dangerous snare and how others were still circling around the bait. Q3. When did the ironmaster realise his mistake? Ans: Next morning, the stranger was cleaned and we...

An Elementary School Classroom in a Slum

Image
An Elementary School Classroom in a Slum   This poem by Stephen Spender gives a brief description of a school classroom in a slum and the children in the class. Poverty stricken people can't get education without fulfilling their basic needs . So we need to focus on their basic requirements before establishing elementary schools .  The faces of the children are dull. Their appearance shows that they are unwanted. The children have gloomy faces. Their heads hanging low in sadness due to being poor. They have diseased bodies inherited from their parents and are victims of poverty. At the dim end of the room, sits one child who has bright eyes which seem to dream – of playing outside with squirrels. He is different from the others in the dim, darkroom. The walls of the classroom are dirty. People have donated different charts and images which have been put upon them. One of them is a picture Of the great playwright Shakespeare. His head is bald and resembles the risin...

What to do during Shradh Paksh ?

Image
What is Shradh Paks? What to do during Shradh Paksh? How can we avoid Pitr-Dosh? Before getting the answers if these questions we should know from where does the  demonic tendency originate ....  When young people do not engage themselves in the service of their parents and only look for their own comforts ,  then  demonic tendencies originate among them .   The parents do not even get the necessities of subsistence and the young couple go to the cinema for their entertainment .  Parents are not well &  don't get their drugs, medicines properly and young couples  enjoy fruit-cream - this happens only because of their demonic instinct .  How can anyone say auspicious words for such a young couple ?  How can anyone bless them?   The person who helps his parents in living happily gets blessings.   People admire him too.  The food given to the gods is called "Havya" and the food given to the ancestors is c...

Image

What to do when teachers scold you ???

Image
Through my blog ( motivationalhub01blogspot.com ) , I let you to know -  What to do when teachers scold you ???  We all must have been scolded  by some of our teachers . Some students get punished every day. They neither feel bad about it nor do they improve.  But some students feel insulted  if a teacher scolds them.   However , some students  do their every work  regularly without creating any problem . Each task is completed  as instructed by the teacher.    But the teacher's scolding  or slap at the right time works as a boon for the students. We need to take it as a reward .  Come, let's understand how….???  It is about those days when I was a student of class 6th.  Our maths teacher had told us by fixing a date to take the unit test.  All the students started preparing for the class exam.  Now the day of examination had also arrived.  Our teacher gave some questions from each...
