Tourism: 

Tourism is considered to be the largest producing sector in the world.  It is growing rapidly, it accounts for 6% of the world's output and employs one hundred million people.  It is the biggest source of revenue.  It is an efficient industry of natural revenue.  People from different parts of the world travel on the basis of entertainment, religion, knowledge, history, etc. and come in contact with different cultures and traditions.  It allows people of different nations to come into close contact with each other's customs and  aspects of life.  It reveals the natural beauty and past heritage of one country to the people of another country.  The knowledge and experience gained in this process can lead to greater understanding and tolerance and  also promote world peace.  However, this was not possible during the Corona period, due to which many countries have suffered a lot of economic loss.  Efforts should be made again in this direction by following Corona protocols.

 Nowhere can the contribution of tourism be seen more clearly than in the economic sphere.  A study conducted by the United Nations has shown that developing countries can particularly  get benefits from tourism which increases national income and creates jobs.  For this, every country is working diligently in promoting tourism by adding beauty to its geographical scenery.  The middle class family also plays an important role in promoting tourism by taking short trips with their families . 

 But tourism also has some ugly sides.  It is becoming the cause of social, cultural and environmental problems.  Indiscriminate construction is destroying natural systems to facilitate the disposal of water and waste materials.  And excessive use of environmental resources is deteriorating the ecological balance.  Most of the damage is being done on the wildlife which has always been the center of tourist attraction.  Tourists destroy the vegetation of the land and also affect the feeding habits of the animals and the landscape.  Overcrowding also causes erosion and destruction of vegetation.

 Since tourism is a huge area of ​​production, steps should be taken at the individual and social level to preserve it.  To safeguard this, it is essential to understand the factors which hinder the development of tourism and try to remove them effectively.  Tourism has been affected due to increasing violence and terrorism at the international level.  Therefore, efforts should be made at the international level to solve this problem.  India  must work hard to promote this industry as our country has everything to attract tourists from far and wide corners such as beautiful landscapes, valor, wisdom, peace & glorious history . So we need to spread awareness among people regarding tourism .
